While the theory of multiple intelligences has long been recognized in understanding individual intelligence, instruments assessing the general aptitude of elementary students’ multiple intelligences remain limited especially in Confucius Cultural countries, such as China. This study re-validated Armstrong’s (2009) instruments for assessing multiple intelligences in an elementary school in China with a large sample of participants. We conducted three rounds of validation to validate, revise, and re-validate the instrument to ensure it aligned with the intelligence profile of Chinese elementary students. In addition, we reported girls’ and boys’ strengths in terms of their performance in nine dimensions of multiple intelligences. Researchers and practitioners investing intelligence development and instrument validation will benefit from this session.
