Abstract

The scope of this study is to investigate how diverse democracies and human development influence the adoption of children and disability rights international conventions. The adoption of these two treaties targeting children and the people with disabilities is crucial in providing public education that leads to literacy, employment, and a higher quality of life, as well as in providing other life conditions that allow vulnerable populations to attend and focus on school. This study pertains to the treatment of children, as a national good and as an international human capital, and it is a call for cooperation between researchers and organizational stakeholders protecting children, aligning with the AERA 2020 theme.
