Comparison of Three Metrics for Meta-Analyzing Single-Case Studies: Family-Centered Positive Behavior Support as Example

Abstract

The study examines how different metrics (overlap, mean, regression) for meta-analyzing data from single-case design studies have an impact on the overall effect size. The authors use their content-specific study Meta-analysis of Family-centered Positive Behavior Support (FCPBS) with Families of Children with Developmental Disabilities and Problem Behavior as the medium for comparison. We have provided some preliminary result of meta-analysis and discussion of potential factors leading to a different estimate. Further data and discussion are on the way.
