Mon, April 20, 10:35am to 12:05pm, Virtual Room

Session Type: Symposium

Abstract

This session brings together researchers to analyze learning in and for social action and to theorize the ramifications of that learning in social action for the learning sciences. Bringing together scholars of movements internationally, including migrant justice movements in Japan, the LA teachers’ strikes, educational justice in South Africa, Mexico, and Thailand, and LGBTQ2S+ organizing in the Midwest USA. These diverse contexts help us to understand what and how learning is mobilized through collective and expands learning sciences analysis into new domains.
