Abstract

This symposium aims to consider the interconnected relationship between education and criminology in the educational system with a focus on alternative school’s options for formerly incarcerated youth to college outcomes for incarcerated individuals. The goal is to help inform graduate students, emerging scholars, and practitioners to understand and help untangle the constant criminalization process for vulnerable and marginalized students and focus on liberation.
