Session Type: Symposium
New technologies, such as artificial intelligence, are increasingly replacing lower-wage jobs as well as middle-class jobs. At the same time, new technologies are creating possibilities in the form of new jobs. An important question is how educational systems respond to this rapidly changing world. In this session, we introduce how other countries, such as Singapore, Japan, South Korea, and Germany, refine and reshape their educational systems to better prepare youth for the future. This session will offer important insights into American educational researchers and policymakers with respect to how other countries reform their school systems to make young people ready for the future.
