Session Summary

Advancing Research-Practice Partnerships: Leveraging the Positionality of Graduate Student Researchers

Sun, April 19, 8:15 to 9:45am, Virtual Room

Session Type: Structured Poster Session

Abstract

Graduate students play key roles in Research-Practice Partnerships (RPPs), but their experiences have not been an explicit focus of reflection or study in the RPP community. This session sheds light on persistent questions in the RPP field by attending to the challenges graduate students face, the assets they bring, and the research they conduct through partnership work. The poster topics were intentionally chosen to address current issues that are important for advancing RPP discourse through the lens of graduate students. The new perspectives on RPP work in this session contribute to the development of strategies for collaboration capable of resolving problems of practice more effectively.
