Session Summary

Attending to the Political and Ethical Dimensions of Teacher Learning

Fri, April 17, 4:05 to 5:35pm, Virtual Room

Session Type: Structured Poster Session

Abstract

This Interactive Poster Session builds from recent calls for attention on the political and ethical dimensions of teaching, learning, and design (Bang & Vossoughi, 2016; Esmonde & Booker, 2016; Martin, 2013; Philip, et al., 2018; Philip et al., 2019). We will explore how a politically and ethically focused framing of teacher learning can shape more critically historicized and creatively imagined forms of relationality linking teachers, learners, disciplines, and social worlds. The structure of the session is designed to invite exploration of multiple framings and perspectives and to propel open conversation among presenters and participants.
