Session Type: Symposium
The symposium will address the theoretical and empirical basis of game motivational analytics and metrics. It will consist of three presentations: (1) A Framework for Motivational Analytics and Metrics in Games, (2) Emotional Design for Games to Enhance Executive Functions, and (3) Interest Analytics and Metrics for Measurement in Games. The modes of inquiry consist of a theoretical driven model for assessment of key motivational variables, an experimental study, and a mixed modes study, respectively. The presentations and discussants will focus on motivation analytics and metrics for games and simulations.
