Session Type: Symposium
The presentations in this session represent the perspectives and voices of members of a participatory educational research and development project that is developing digital tools to support self-advocacy and community living with and for people with intellectual disability. A fundamental part of the project team are self-advocates with intellectual disability who are actively engaged in all aspects of the project and who will be presenting in this session. Session participants will present the knowledge created through the project as well as share what they have learned about doing this kind of work. It is our collective goal to help build capacity for others to conduct participatory, translational educational research to support community living and participation for people with intellectual disability.
