Digital College Access and Success Tools: Scholarly and Practitioner Perspectives on What's Working for Generation Z

Abstract

In this symposium, scholars and practitioners will share research findings and reflections from the field about how Generation Z engages with digital tools while preparing for, transitioning to, and navigating postsecondary education. In recent years, organizations with missions to improve equitable college access and success have heightened efforts to use technology (i.e. video games, texting initiatives, and interactive tools) in order to reach more students, share information, and incentivize action. In this interactive symposium, researchers and practitioners will discuss their digital efforts to improve college-going and college success outcomes, assess impact, and determine opportunities for innovation in the field. A key aim of the symposium is to generate dialogue among session attendees about future research and practice.
