Session Type: Demonstration/Performance
This session uses disruptive innovation theory to highlight the cultural challenges associated with innovating research methods. The session offers a demonstration of six examples of qualitative scholarship formatted as three-minute films that serve the same summarizing function as a manuscript’s abstract. Each film was produced using “cinematic methods,” a transdisciplinary research approach that represents the integration of digital filmmaking and qualitative techniques.
