Session Type: Symposium
Given the complex challenges inherent in improving the quality of education, research practice partnerships (RPPs) aim to make a difference by bringing together researchers and practitioners with multiple perspectives and expertise to conduct and use research to improve outcomes for kids. This collaborative approach is challenging, and often requires new ways of working for research partners and practice partners. In order to realize the potential of this approach, it is necessary to develop new ways to assess the effectiveness of RPPs. This session describes four papers that move the RPP field forward by not only building our understanding for ways to assess RPPs, but also contributing to the knowledge base on how and in what ways RPPs support educational improvement.
