Building Capacity for Supporting New Scholars in Online Graduate Programs

Abstract
As fully online and mostly online graduate programs expand, there is a need to consider the mentoring process--how to help new scholars learn the knowledge, skills, and dispositions that were once learned "at the elbow" of an experienced mentor. There are also needs to keep them in the program and help them learn to be quality online instructors. This paper session highlights research on the online graduate experience.
