Abstract

Dean Keith Simonton, PhD, Distinguished Professor Emeritus from the University of California, Davis, the guest speaker at the RoGCT Business Meeting will present a talk entitled "Origins of Creative Genius: Disposition and Development in the Arts and Sciences". He is also receiving the Mensa Lifetime Achievement Award.

Renowned for his groundbreaking contributions to the study of genius, Simonton is the winner of the William James Book Award, the Sir Francis Galton Award for Outstanding Contributions to the Study of Creativity, the Rudolf Arnheim Award for Outstanding Achievement in Psychology and the Arts, the Theoretical Innovation Prize in Personality and Social Psychology, and the George A. Miller Outstanding Article Award. Simonton is a fellow of AAAS, APA, and APS.
