Abstract

This meeting will provide an overview of the work of the SIG in promoting and creating a forum for Sociopolitical Perspectives in Mathematics and Science Education research. A panel of guests will present perspectives we hope to see promoted and furthered in educational research centering questions of justice, diversity, political economy, colonialism, and activism in/through mathematics and science education. The business meeting will then explore how we can tactically expand the support and reach of such projects.
