Abstract

Are you unsure if a tenure track faculty position is the right career path for you? Are you curious to see how you can use your doctorate degree to make a difference in education while feeling like you found the right “fit”? This year’s Division J Fireside Chat will showcase some of the many career opportunities available to us, coming directly from the folks who’ve received doctorates in education and pursued such careers. Our panelists have a wealth of experience in university administration, evaluation and consulting, education research organizations, national foundations, institutional research, and policy work and have come to help us learn more about career trajectories, navigating the job market, scholarly opportunities, and their work-life balance.
