Fri, April 17, 12:00 to 1:30pm, Virtual Room

Session Type: Invited Speaker Session

Abstract

This fireside chat session is for graduate students in Division K and across disciplines interested in collaborating with community stakeholders. Graduate students will learn how collaboration creates power and possibility for producing knowledge in the field of education through the tangible ways in which education scholars work in partnership with youth, local communities, teachers, and principals focused on education as an essential public good. In this fireside chat, we ask scholars and graduate students to raise important questions about the nature of researcher/organizational stakeholder collaboration and to discuss the possibilities for new research aimed at creatively solving critical topical areas of unsolved educational problems.
