Session Type: Invited Speaker Session
An expressed goal of Division K is to support research and practice in teaching and teacher education that addresses entrenched educational and social inequities. The ways in which we conceive of equity and social justice, however, differs across our theoretical and ideological perspectives. This interactive session invites Division K members to engage in a critical examination of these diverse conceptions, how we enact them in our research and how we might enrich our conceptions to better serve the educators, communities and children we work with.
