Abstract

This SIG business meeting will be a gathering of friends, both old and new, to discuss SIG business and the future growth of the Ivan Illich SIG membership. Additionally, we will have a dialogue with members commemorating the Golden Jubilee of Deschooling Society and sharing how Illich's work welcomes, inspires, and challenges us to practice possibilities for imagination and creativity as we connect with diverse alternatives to the industrial modes of production undergirding assumptions shaping dominant economics, medicine, transportation, and schooling. And, of course, great times will be had by all in attendance.
