Facilitating Professional Growth for Teachers in Professional Development Schools

Abstract
The papers in this session all address supporting teachers in PDSs. The topics discussed include the following: 1) employing sub-groups within communities of practice to meet specific participant needs, 2) furthering the conversation of teachers as equity leaders, 3) using the hermeneutic-phenomenological approach to analyze professional learning in a PDS, and 4) discussing the nature of the partnerships for a faculty-in-residence approach in two rural PDSs.
