Advancing the Public Good: Experiential Education and Service-Learning Answer the Call

Abstract
As this year’s conference theme suggests, there is great power and possibility when various stakeholders with distinct professional titles, institutional affiliations, and disciplinary allegiances collaborate with one another to address pressing concerns within our global community. In pursuit of these possibilities, this session brings together a collection of scholars who seek to leverage the resources, insights, and hybrid methodologies realized through engaged, experiential, and justice-oriented approaches to teaching and learning. Their presentations will encourage us to think about the role of service-learning and experiential education across the educational landscape in advancing the public good.
