Currently, limited research exists exploring the logistics and experiences related students’ with disabilities requests for accommodations for internships and related out-of-classroom placements. Utilizing an explanatory sequential mixed methods design, this study gathered data from postsecondary disability service providers through both a national survey (N= 85) and semi-structured interviews (N= 11). Findings reveal inconsistencies between accommodation-related processes for inside and outside of the classroom, as well as the ongoing misinterpretation of actual technical requirements related to licensure and accreditation standards. Additional awareness and associated training for faculty and administrators on topic is warranted.
