This qualitative study examined feedback from undergraduate preservice teachers (n = 34) regarding their experience transitioning rapidly from face-to-face to online learning in the midst of the Spring, 2020 Covid-19 pandemic. The research questions included: 1) What online learning platform did preservice teachers prefer? 2) In what ways did preservice teachers perceive online teaching methods to be culturally responsive? 3) What aspects of face-to-face learning did preservice teachers miss most? This study utilized Ginsberg and Wlodkowski’s (2009) culturally responsive teaching framework for data analysis. Findings include examples of how both synchronous and asynchronous online learning can integrate culturally responsive teaching and provides recommendations for enhancing culturally responsive methods in online learning platforms.
