Research on inter-context, inter-individual, and intra-individual differences in teaching quality is still underrepresented in the learning environments field. This study aims to investigate inter-context, inter-individual, and intra-individual differences in teaching behaviour (TB) across six countries including Netherlands, South Africa, South Korea, Indonesia, Mongolia, and Pakistan. It also aims to explore some personal and contextual factors explaining differences in TB. Lessons of up to 400 teachers in each country were observed four times across three years. There are differences in TB between schools, between teachers, and over measurement moments, which also differs across countries. There is an increasing trend of TB (with small deterioration) across the countries. School denomination, gender, and subject taught explain differences in TB, depending on the country.
