There is an absence of literature on how partial JROTC enrollment may develop special education students, of all socioeconomic levels, into workforce ready adults. As such, it is important that high school students on Individualized Education Plans have access to proven school programs that impart critical soft skills transferable to the labor market after graduation. Using a purposeful sample drawn from the 2009 High School Longitudinal Survey, a study was undertaken to describe any relationships between student SES and cumulative JROTC credits earned in high school with the post-high school workforce earnings of former IEP-identified high school graduates. The study did not find statistically significant results between the variables.
