The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between mathematics success and both perceptions toward STEM and interest in pursuing a STEM career. Secondary students (n = 68) participated in a summer camp in which STEM PBL activities were utilized. Multiple regression results showed a statistically significant regression equation (F(2,65)=6.119, p= <.05) and demonstrated that students with more positive problem-solving beliefs and mathematics perceptions developed higher perceptions toward STEM careers. Additionally, linear regression results showed a statistically significant regression equation (F(1,66)=5.823, p= <.05). The beta weights indicated a positive statistically significant relationship (p< .05) between STEM career perceptions and STEM career interest. Therefore, educators should adapt teaching methods to diversify and increase students’ interest in pursuing STEM careers.
