Augmented and Virtual Reality (ARVR) are some of the newest technological tools available to educators. New technologies bring opportunities and challenges. Thus, it is important to understand existing knowledge and train teachers accordingly. We were funded to create a short but rich exposure to technology for local educators. In this study, we investigate the results of a 3-day technology “boot camp;” specifically, the impacts of the ARVR components. Most of teachers entered the professional development unfamiliar and/or uncomfortable with using and/or implementing ARVR in the classroom. After a short amount of training, participants showed significant increases in comfort and knowledge which was highlighted by them integrating ARVR in their classroom the following academic year.
