The present study investigated the most important sources of meaning in life and associations between life meaning dimensions (presence of meaning, search for meaning, the sense of purpose) and social media usage duration among emerging adults. By using two well-validated measures, Meaning in Life Questionnaire (MLQ, Steger, Frazier, Oishi, & Kaler, 2006) and the Sense of Purpose in Life, a subscale of Psychological Well-Being Scale (Ryff, 1989), data were collected from (N= 366) students, who were between 18-29 years old. The findings from this study have provided insights into the sources of meaning among emerging adults, and in relation to the time spend on social media per day.
