This paper explores findings from an expert summit about 2SLGBTQ-inclusive teacher education. From a thematic analysis, we identify tensions and themes emerging from discussion by experts in 2SLGBTQ-inclusive and Indigenous education about the possibility of a truly queered, Indigenous, 2SLGBTQ-inclusive teacher education. We also highlight the complexity of the expert summit itself as a site of data collection, particularly regarding queer and Indigenous topics and perspectives. Rather than merely providing information about which practices were widespread or useful, the summit was an opportunity for participants to collectively question, trouble, and push at the limits of queer and Indigenous education. This paper may help other researchers interested in analyzing data from summits centred around social justice and transformative change.
