This study focused on one research question: Does direct instruction in drawing and visual literacy improve writing skills in preschool students? This researcher collected data in the form of writing samples from an experimental group that received an intervention of direct instruction in drawing and visual literacy, and writing sample data collected from a control group which did not receive the intervention. Results from an independent samples t-test comparing the data indicate there was a difference in the writing skills of both groups that was statistically significant.
