Via survey research methods, we examined music education faculty members’ demographics, job satisfaction, and job stressors. More specifically, we examined demographic information for current music education faculty, the factors that seem to influence music education faculty members’ levels of job satisfaction, music education faculty members’ primary stressors, and the ways in which stressors reportedly affect music education faculty members’ job satisfaction, also by institution type. Findings revealed that all of the independent variables for which we accounted affect music education faculty members’ reported levels of job satisfaction and stress. Findings also revealed that faculty members’ stressors do vary by the type of institutions in which they are positioned.
