This study aims to identify aspects of home life, college life, or high school preparation that supported the success of students with disabilities at community college. Each participant engaged in two individual interviews and a series of focus groups. The focus groups used photovoice to highlight aspects of student lives that lead to their success. Participants identified disability supports, social supports, self-care, and self-determination skills as the most beneficial. All participants were impacted by stress or anxiety. The students identified a list of recommendations to share with colleges to create greater access and support for future students with disabilities, including additional access to disability services, reduced disability stigma, and greater campus services advertising.
