This study investigates a professional development model that uses lesson study with video to help Dual Language Program (DLP) teachers integrate mathematics, language, and literacy. The model made it possible for teachers across two states to view and reflect on their own and other teachers’ teaching by watching each other’s videos in small groups, in-person and online, over a year-long period. This facilitated teachers' learning and also supported the building of trust and professional relationships in a professional community of DLP educators. Teachers who participated in this mixed-methods study found that sharing videos helped them perceive student learning from new perspectives and develop new tools and strategies through the discussions that transcended geographical boundaries.
