In order to explore the impact of college students' seats in smart classrooms on social interaction, this study used Experience Sampling Method to collect 180 self-reported data of 36 sophomores longitudinally. A combination of quantitative and qualitative methods was used for data analysis. The results of Multilevel Analysis show that the student's seating and the number of classes within the individual have a significant impact on the student's real-time social interaction, while the gender and mastery goal of students affect their social interaction among individuals.
