This presentation is about lived experiences and change drawings from I-Ching.
This curriculum theorizing for social transformation aims to advance discourse in social change and transformation going beyond any humanistic approach to emphasize free will, autonomous effort, and linear development of change. Two authors with “Asian” heritage share their interpretations regarding the notions of seeing, viewing, and contemplation. Findings are represented with the 20th chapter of I-Ching in articulating the complicated elements in social change. This cross-cultural conversation provides another frame to imagine singularities of spirituality in social transformation amid the COVID-19 pandemic and healthy and educational inequity. An analysis on the hexagram 20 provides an epistemological frame to review, rethink, challenge, and, possibly, advance discourse in cross-cultural conversation.
