This paper describes a critical collaborative ethnography of an equity-centered teacher residency program designed to examine invisible structures that make up ideological whiteness. This paper answers, how are the espoused, equity-focused values of the teacher residency evident (or not) within the residency programming team? The data collection included one year (2018-2019) of dense fieldnotes of social routines in residency specific meetings and activities, interviews with residency staff, and meeting agendas. Most coded excerpts represented patterns of practice entrenched in whiteness.
