Abstract

Body-mapping is an arts-based research method that uses novel approaches for uncovering understanding. In this article, we describe what we refer to as a “pedagogy” of body-mapping drawing from Freire and bell hooks. We explore how the arts-based approach can be used as an approach to facilitate discussion of pressing cultural and institutional issues for student-researchers.
