Globalization of education is a contested debate of the current era. The colonial legacy operates their power and hegemony in formerly colonized countries through International Organizations (IOs) like the World Bank, International Monetary Fund (IMF), Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), and other development agencies. Along with development funds they also sell their neoliberal and capitalist policies and practices that promote the privatization and standardization of education.
