All research fields face the challenge of continually developing cumulative knowledge and evidence to support (or challenge) the current theories, findings, outcomes, and inferences of the field. This proposal focuses on the development of an open-access methods repository for social scientists. Repositories allow for the dissemination of the details of methodological approaches, procedures, and instruments beyond that which included in publications. This methods repository, focused on studies of the use of research evidence (URE), includes a full set of methodological templates and tagging structures, a large set of exemplar methods, a collaborative site using the Open Science Framework, and a set of system supports and quality control strategies to ensure the curation of high quality URE methods.
