The purpose of this manuscript is to examine the history of Black college athletes’ activism in the United States (U.S.) from the early 1900s through the early 2020s and its impact on the multi-level impact on society (macro, meso, and micro). Using race-based and sport-based analytic frameworks, diverse resistance actions across time, space and context are analyzed. The critical examination of intergenerational resistance acts highlights the power of concerted actions for collective positive change acutely and longitudinally.
