This study explored what characteristics of schools adopted more school rules. In addition, this study asked whether the relationship of school characteristics with school rules differs depending on the school type. As a result, school type, attendance rate, and SES level of student were significantly connected to the number of school rules. Furthermore, there were significant interaction effects between school type and three school characteristics (urbanicity, attendance rate, violence problem) on the number of school rules.
