The technology problems of switching to distance learning in March of 2020 for K-12 districts in the rural state of Wyoming is considered through examining existing equity in technology education literature. Many of the three million households with children aged three to eighteen that do not have internet access are situated in rural environments and students are affected by the lack of internet access at home (Reisdorf, Yankelevich, Shapiro, & Dutton, (2019). Suggested solutions for problems of equity in access are examined by the authors with the literature as a basis. Examples from our resulting experience with media resources and the literature were used to establish identification of problems that still exist.
