Teacher Credentialing: A Completely Virtual-Online Approach

A state university teacher education department, launched a fully online single subject credential program in June 2019. The program is designed to be a sustainable model that will be compared with the on-campus credential program on a yearly basis for quality, effectiveness, and ability to reach candidates who have not been served previously. Findings from the first year demonstrate commensurate achievement with the traditional (50-year-old) site-based program.
