Faculty Careers: How Is Collegiality Experienced in STEM?

Abstract

Utilizing in-depth semistructured interviews with non-tenure-track, tenure-track, and tenured STEM faculty at a large, public research university, I ask: In what ways do faculty perceive their experiences with collegiality in academia? To what extent do they view issues of collegiality as pertinent to their career trajectories and vice versa? How does tenure status contribute to these perceptions?
