Abstract

This essay presents the use of PAR within a campaign by Asian American youth organizers in San Francisco to improve mental health resources at SFUSD high schools. I explore the precariousness of PAR within policy debates and the politics of evidence. Moreover, I underline how PAR might be defeated on scientific grounds, yet can be successful as part of organizing efforts to mobilize other youth and supporters.
