Black Live Matter movement is an overdue call to action for university faculty to take an actionable stand against racism. Racism fundamentally structures the education system and racism policies, practices, and pedagogies are often invisible. Without critical interrogation of seemingly banal structures, well-intentioned faculty reinforce the racist ideology at work. Our research addresses this problem by creating a Professional Praxis Collaborative among teacher educator faculty who engage in on-going critical reflection practices. This preliminary research shares two case studies of how engagement in critical reflection facilitated with cogenerative dialogues supports transformation of coursework and instructional practice in teacher education courses.
