Thu, April 8, 3:00 to 4:00pm EDT (3:00 to 4:00pm EDT), SIG Sessions, SIG-Computer and Internet Application in Education Poster Sessions

Abstract

In this study, we investigated pre-service teachers’ collaborative learning experiences and sense of community with the use of iPads. With a focus on the factors including perceived collaborative learning, sense of community, and self-efficacy towards the use of iPads, we examined the relationships among these factors and pre-service teachers’ overall learning experiences. Participants of this study were pre-service teachers from a public university in the United States. Through quantitative analyses, we found that the proposed factors were positively related to each other. Sense of community, collaborative learning, and self-efficacy had a significant influence on pre-service teachers’ perceived learning experiences. More results were provided and discussed along with the conclusion.
