This research aims to explore how secondary students seeking treatment for early psychosis experience, as well as perceive to be included and supported at school. My research focused on each student’s unique experiences by using an empowerment and narrative inquiry design. Three participants (Mary, Angel, and Isaac) were recruited from an early psychosis intervention program located in Ontario. Data was collected through in-depth semi-structured one-on-one interviews and analyzed with narrative re-storying and thematic analysis. This presentation will specifically focus on the findings that emerged from the narrative re-storying of participants’ experiences, inclusion, and support at school. This study hopes to contribute to a more inclusive discussion about school mental health, that is informed by students learning with psychosis.
