There is a burgeoning gap for middle skilled jobs in the United States. Rural high schools face more obstacles than their urban counterparts when it comes to providing CTE courses. Very little research has been conducted on the effectiveness and/or best practices for online dual enrollment CTE in rural high schools using learning management systems. This study compares the effectiveness of rural dual enrollment courses in automated manufacturing that varied based upon time and location.
